Content Release Form

Content Collection Policy
April 2025

When collecting testimonials, success stories, or photos from individuals (especially adult learners), ensure the following are understood.

  1. Ask permission to share their story/content and ensure they understand and sign the consent form.

  2. Let them know it is ok to say no at any point in the process. Their participation is completely optional and at any time in the process (before content is published), they can say they no longer want to share their information.

  3. Remind them that what goes on the internet remains there. Content we post online can be found by everyone (family, friends, strangers, future employers) and can follow them for years to come—even after they become a different person. Even though they can ask us to take down their stories, if the content has already been printed and distributed or shared by external profiles or third parties, complete removal may not be possible.  This is the most important part that they need to understand before we share their information.

  4. Be upfront about how their content could be shared; power point, social media, brochures / printed materials, website, fundraising material, etc. They have the right to be selective about how their story is shared.

  5. Involve them from start to finish. They have the final say in anything we write or post about them.

Be culturally sensitive.

If you would like to share your story, please complete the Google Form here.
